Emirates District Cooling (Emicool) – a subsidiary of Dubai Investments PJSC has announced conducting a weeklong performance review test at its AI enabled Expo 2020 cooling plant and unveiled over achieved performance results autonomously.
The performance test has demonstrated reliable demand, load and environmental compliance. The test was conducted by a leading European company to ensure the plant’s efficiency and performance in successfully meeting the cooling requirements of the Expo facilities.
Commenting on the performance review, Dr Adib Moubadder, Chief Executive Officer of Emicool, said, “Providing efficient district cooling solutions to a mega event like Expo 2020 marks a key milestone for us alongside our steady progress towards embedding digital transformation within the district cooling industry. Located in the Expo 2020 Opportunity wing, the plant is designed to maintain highest international standards, incorporating special architectural elements without compromising the technical requirements. We are extremely satisfied with the results of the performance review, ensuring optimised cooling facilities to Expo 2020 visitors and reinstating Emicool’s capabilities within the district cooling industry.”
Marked as the 14th DCP (District Cooling Plant), Emicool is providing chilled water for many prestigious facilities at Expo 2020 including the Expo village, RTA Expo Metro Station, Dubai Exhibition Centre and Dubai South Mall. The Company has strategic plans to increase the overall cooling capacity to 500,000 TR in the coming years across different sectors.
The Expo 2020 plant has also been uniquely designed to operate using direct Treated Sewage Effluent (TSE) feed, which provides better discharge quality and ensures a more sustainable approach to water-cooling mechanisms.
أعلنت "الإمارات ديستريكت كولينغ" (إيميكول) لخدمات التبريد المركزي، المملوكة بالكامل لشركة "دبي للاستثمار"، عن إجراء اختبار مراجعة أداء لمدة أسبوع في محطة تبريد المناطق لموقع إكسبو 2020 المدعومة بتقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي، وكشفت عن نتائج الأداء المحققة بشكل مستقل.
أظهر اختبار الأداء استقرار مستويات الطلب والحمل والامتثال البيئي لمحطة التبريد. وقامت بإجرائه شركة أوروبية رائدة لضمان كفاءة أداء المحطة في تلبية متطلبات التبريد لمنشآت موقع إكسبو على أكمل وجه.
وفي إطار تعليقه على مراجعة الأداء، قال الدكتور أديب مبدر، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة "إيميكول": "يشكّل توفير حلول التبريد المركزي لحدث ضخم مثل إكسبو 2020 دبي علامة فارقة في مسيرة شركتنا بالتوازي مع تقدمها المطرد نحو ترسيخ التحول الرقمي في قطاع تبريد المناطق. وتقع محطة التبريد في جناح الفرص ضمن موقع إكسبو، وقد تم تصميمها للحفاظ على أعلى المعايير الدولية للمباني الصديقة للبيئة مع دمج عناصر معمارية خاصة دون المساس بالمتطلبات الفنية. ونحن راضون جداً عن نتائج مراجعة الأداء، فهي تظهر قدرتنا على توفير خدمات تبريد رفيعة المستوى لزوار إكسبو 2020، وتكرّس مكانة ’إيميكول‘ في قطاع تبريد المناطق".
توفر "إيميكول" - من خلال محطتها الرابعة عشر لتبريد المناطق - المياه المبردة للعديد من مرافق إكسبو 2020 الرئيسية؛ بما في ذلك "قرية إكسبو"، ومحطة مترو إكسبو التابعة لهيئة الطرق والمواصلات، و"مركز دبي للمعارض"، و"دبي ساوث مول". وتخطط الشركة لزيادة طاقة التبريد الإجمالية لمحطاتها عبر مختلف القطاعات إلى 500 ألف طن تبريد خلال السنوات القادمة.
ويعتمد تصميم محطة تبريد إكسبو 2020 على نظام فريد يستخدم مياه الصرف الصحي المعالجة مباشرة، ويوفر نظاماً أفضل للتصريف باعتماد أساليب أكثر استدامة لعمليات التبريد بالمياه.
