Emicool has strengthened its Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental structure and has obtained accreditation by "Russian Register" following the guidelines set out by the internal ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001 & OHSAS 18001 management.
The QHSE objectives are aligned in a manner to achieve environmental goals. Yearly regular inspections are conducted by the authorities at Emicool Plants to ensure compliance with the local environmental and social laws.
CSR is an ever evolving business practice that integrates sustainable development into an organization’s business model. It has a positive impact on social, economic and environmental factors. Emicool proactively supports CSR initiatives leading to the well-being of the community and environment, while striving towards highest standards of professionalism.
During last year, Emicool initiated several CSR activities including "Beach Clean Up" activity in order to protect ocean life and clear the beach of any waste the ocean has brought onto the sand, initiative was proactively supported by employees and resulted in 485 kg of collected waste.
During another CSR initiative “Plant a Tree and get Oxygen for Free”, 500 trees were planted by Emicool team at Emirates Bio Farm. A single tree sequesters up to 35kg of carbon emission per year and total reduction of CO2 emission by planting 500 trees reaches 17,500 kg per year.
In August 2020, Emicool’s electric vehicle fleet marks a year in operation and achieved a drop of 135.5 tons of CO2 emissions, 48% on the maintenance costs
